Building the Southeast From the Ground Up

At Paris Sand & Gravel, we supply the materials that shape the man-made environment across West Tennessee. Whether you’re pouring footings, surfacing a park trail, or navigating erosion control along a construction route, our aggregates form the foundation beneath your work.

From highways and commercial sites to residential landscapes and bike riding trails, our sand, gravel, and specialty stone are the essential building blocks that support construction and infrastructure projects in our region.

You’ll find our aggregates in projects of all sizes, including roadbeds, foundations, utility trenches, and front yards. Some orders are for multi-phase developments; others are a few tons of gravel for a single driveway. Whatever the case, the standard is the same, and we don’t compromise on quality.

Our location in Buchanan, Tennessee (Paris, TN), gives us both a logistical advantage and a strong sense of responsibility to the community we live and work in. We’re deliberate in how we source and process, ensuring clear communication, fair pricing, and a commitment to doing things the right way without shortcuts or excuses.

What Sets Us Apart

We specialize in a full range of aggregates, including:

GRAVEL

Gravel is one of the most important materials on any site. It supports load, manages water flow, and sets the foundation for roads, pads, driveways, and structures. At Paris Sand & Gravel, we supply a full range of gravel types to match different structural and site preparation needs—always clean and properly sized.

#3 and #4 Gravel

These naturally rounded stones are commonly used in landscaping, French drains, and field lines. Their smooth shape allows water to flow easily while providing stable coverage for gardens, pathways, and drainage systems. We stock both sizes with consistent gradation, so crews can use them immediately without additional sorting.

Pea Gravel

Pea gravel is small and rounded, usually suitable for applications that require loose fill with smooth surfaces. This gravel is commonly applied in landscape beds, walking surfaces, and light-use drainage systems.

Birdseye Gravel

Birdseye gravel is a smaller version of pea gravel, commonly used in concrete work, landscaping, and golf course applications. Its uniform size makes it easy to spread and incorporate into mixes or decorative projects, providing a clean, consistent appearance.

Specialty Blends and Sizing Support

Some jobs call for custom blends or gravel that meet specific engineering requirements. Our team can help identify the correct size, quantity, and type based on site plans, project specs, and intended load. We coordinate directly with project managers and field crews to reduce delays and material waste.

SAND

We supply two grades of sand that meet the demands of professional construction and masonry work:

Concrete Sand

Its larger grain size creates a strong bond in concrete mixes, essential for forming durable slabs, footings, sidewalks, and other poured surfaces.

It also offers good drainage and compaction, making it a reliable choice for bedding layers in hardscape installations. Because it’s free-draining, it helps reduce the risk of water buildup and frost heave in areas with temperature swings.

Mortar Sand

Mortar sand is finer, smoother, and more consistent. It is used in masonry work such as bricklaying, stone veneer, and block walls, where smooth texture and consistency are critical.

We monitor the moisture content, grain uniformity, and cleanliness in both types of sand to ensure every load meets the standards required on a professional jobsite. We’re happy to give guidance on the grade and an estimate of how much you may need, but the final choice is yours, so you can decide what works best for your project.

Mortar Sand

Our TDOT-specified base rock is frequently used in commercial construction, infrastructure development, utility installations, and high-traffic areas where proper drainage and compaction are non-negotiable.

Who We Serve

We supply high-quality aggregate materials to a wide range of customers, including contractors, landscapers, plumbers, homeowners, and concrete producers.

While most of our business is within a one- to two-hour drive of Paris, Tennessee, we also serve customers in East Tennessee and Eastern Kentucky. If you’re too far away to pick up materials for a project or your flowerbed, we can often refer you to one of our trusted local customers.
